Kosovo Citizens Deserve Visa Free Travel

We want to emphasize that the EU facilitated Dialogue and Kosovo’s visa liberalisation are two separate processes. Kosovo deserves the long overdue visa free regime and that decision should not be linked to any issue between Kosovo and Serbia. We want to be crystal clear here – visa free travel is not and should not be linked to the Brussels Dialogue with Serbia. We find it important to talk about both Serbia and Kosovo when it comes to the review of economic cooperation and funds in case the situation does not de-escalate, as it is not one party alone that is responsible for the progress in the Dialogue. The citizens of Kosovo deserve – as all the others in the Western Balkans – the freedom of movement across Europe and we are convinced that the EU will keep its promise allowing citizens of Kosovo to travel freely as of 1.1.2024.
